do IT.

If you have never been to a thrift store, GO. Thrift stores have variety: funky, vintage, new, retro, costumes, decor, house ware. For me, a thrift store is a treasure hunt. With a little patience and determination, you are destined for a smashing outcome. The motivation of second hand shopping is: economical, reusing, reducing waste and sorry to mention this again, but inexpensive! Prefer a more modern thrifty? Try Buffalo Exchange or Plato's Closet, where you can sell and buy clothes. Great alternative to the convention thrift.

Fellow New Orleanians

Firstly, I am stoked about my recycling bin. The city of New Orleans has restored curbside recycling. No more trips to the Tulane recycling drop for this girl. Sign up for your recycling bin here. Secondly, the Green Light District is eco-focused retailers on Magazine Street. These stores carry organic, sustainable and recycled clothes, accessories and decor. Support your local designers who make it their priority to provide eco-friendly fashion.
